My Review
Well, this one is a little twisting on the angels and demons fighting for good and evil. Jacob is a fallen angel who has been searching for his mate Vdarra for 10 years after a catastrophic event separated them from each other. You see, Vdarra is a demon, a special one according to Lucifer, and Jacob was an angel fighting for God. But when he finds Vdarra, she has no memories at all, except for the last 10 years, where she only had one person telling her what she should know. And when a passionate meet up turns into kidnapping and chaos, things get a little fun. :)
Vdarra thought she was human, not a powerful demon somehow suppressing her powers. So when things start happening and Jacob won't explain, and people are turning into monsters and kidnapping her, she has no choice but to start figuring things out. Jacob is torn from all the things that has happened. Not to mention he loves Vdarra, or he used to, but he can't let her go backwards.
This is a really interesting take on the difference between angels and demons. It has a very unique twist on things that I loved. And it's full of mystery and suspense so it keeps you reading the story. I liked that they both felt so much for each other but kept fighting it because they had so much previous baggage though Vdarra didn't remember a lot of it until later. If you love the angels and demons aspect, I would definitely recommend this one. Or if you just like a good paranormal romance, too. 4 FLYING PAWS!

My Review
YES! I love this one! I seem to be obsessing lately with gargoyles and this one is going in the keeper pile!! It's well written, it's got an excellent concept of Gargoyles and their presence here, and it's just a damn fun book to read! And we've got some fun other supernatural creatures added, like bad guy vampers and creeptastic demons! Oh and the hawt piece Sentinels who guard the gargoyles. And this is Rose and Cal's story, which now just makes me want to read more, because there's a whole lot of goodies to come as well.
Rose was supposed to be dead. She's been in hiding for a long time, and when everyone she knew was slaughtered around her, she kept her head down with the one person who saved her. But she that woman is murdered and she tells her to go to her Sentinel enemies for help, Rose is entering a whole new world. Where she only knew lies, she is NOT the last of her kind, and she's been sheltered way more than she ever understood. And now, she not only needs to help take down her mentor's murderer, but now she needs to learn who she is, and what the world has been hiding from her.
Cal has felt guilty since the slaughter happened. He should have been there to protect them. His guilt has led his life for a long time and when the girl who is supposed to be dead shows up on his front porch, alive, and grown up, and sexy as hell, it becomes one adventure after another. He's a little over protective, but when he's gone through the things he has, he gets a little lee way in my book.
I loved the story. And I really liked how there's a plot twist at the end revolving Rose and the Gargoyles. I can't wait to see what's in store and who's going to be the lucky man for the next leading lady :) I am all excited for more :) 5 STONEY PAWS!!
