DESCRIPTION/Blurb

Spencer Perry lost everything the day her boyfriend died. Even when he came back as a ghost, she was never able to return to her old self. Determined to find a way to bring both of them back--him from the dead and her from her depression--Spencer hops a ride with a Reaper across the river to the Underworld where she meets the god of the dead. Hadrian isn't what she expected Hades to be like, but when he agrees to a deal that can get her Micah back, she puts all caution aside and accepts. Too bad she didn't realize that she'd also just accepted a lot more than one gorgeous yet frustrating god. Bad things are happening all around her, and now she not only has to worry about keeping Micah's ghost status a secret from their friends, but also figure out who's behind all of the accidents. All signs point towards Hadrian, but something about that just doesn't feel right to her. Something that she hopes has nothing to do with her growing attraction towards him.

EXERPT

“You love him that much?”
“I do.”
“And is there nothing else for you then?” he asked softly. There was something in his tone that she couldn’t place. “Nothing else for you to live for?”
For a brief second she thought of her parents, and of Quinn and Sydney. They would mourn for her for a little while, sure, but they’d get over it. Just like they’d all but gotten over Micah’s death already.
“No.” The second she spoke she knew things were different. Knew that something had changed between his comment and hers.
Hadrian shifted to lean forward in his throne, catching her eyes with his own and holding her there. A charming smile touched his dark pink lips. “Ok, Spencer Perry. A deal then. Seeing as how you seem so smitten with the Persephone story, I’ll make you a wager you simply can’t refuse.”
Think of Micah, she reminded herself. Anything is worth it for Micah.
“Six months.”
She blinked, having half expected him to ask for her immortal soul or something along those lines. “Excuse me?”
“Was that not plain enough for you?” In his eyes she saw he was silently laughing at her. “You’ll remain here with me in the Underworld for six months out of one year. What’s today? The third? Perfect. So until September fourth of next year, you give me six months of your life.”
“And if I do?” she hardly recognized the sound of her own voice it was so low and meek.
“I bring your boyfriend back. Good as new. Walking, talking, the whole nine yards.”

My Review
I loved this story!! Such a unique spin on myths and lore, a heart broken girl trying to find herself and bring her boyfriend back. The king of the underworld. Great friends. Some mystery on the side. And so well written that you won't be able to let go. Seriously. I immediately put the next books on my want list. And the best part, the completely magnificent characters!!

Spencer Perry is broken. Or so she thinks. She's also funny and caring and loyal to a fault and seriously sarcastic. She is broken hearted when she and her boyfriend, her life long best friend, have an accident. He died, she didn't. But his ghost stayed with her. She wants him back whole, so she decides to find a way into the underworld with a reaper to make Hades give him back. HA!! Charlie Ferrier the reaper is not your average reaper, and Hadrian, who's name everyone got wrong with Hades, is not the normal God of the underworld. So you know things are about to get crazy :)

I absolutely loved Hadrian. Charlie came a very close second. Micah, I wanted to love but I'm sorry, compared to Hadrian, I just couldn't. Sydney and Quinn are magnificent! I loved her two bff's and their relationship. Oh and shall we talk about the God of death. No maybe not. And don't think too hard about the plot twists in who really is the bad guy. It blew my mind!! I must say, these are some of the best developed and written characters! I fell in love with them all.

The world building is spectacular. How the author came up with everything in the underworld was just amazing. Absolutely creative. And the plot... You love someone, willing to risk it all for them, and the one who can help you and guides you had a piece of your heart as well. Who knew we'd fall in love with Hades!! I sure did!

The writing is so well done. Fast paced, no crazy boring info dumps all the while so informative. Romance, in the sweet kind, heartbreak, mystery, and some even light hearted fun thrown in. I loved every minute of it! With that said, I'm all in for 5 PAWS!!!

DESCRIPTION/Blurb

It’s finally the day of claiming. A dragon charges in breathing fire and leaves with an unwilling captive as his new bride. Roxanne, one of the brides he will chose from, wants nothing to do with the tradition that has gone on for thousands of years. From an early age she’s had one goal...

Kill the dragon.

Laryn—arrogant, gorgeous, and heartbroken since the death of his former bride has a plan for the new one. He will never love again. Of course, the last thing he expects is a feisty warrior landing on his back with a sharp sword in her hands intent on death. His death.

It’s a match made in… well… you need to read to find out.

A dragon shifter fairy tale for adult readers.

EXERPT

Laryn

I admire my nakedness in the looking glass, flex my muscles and watch them ripple with undeniable power. I am more than a mere human. I’m faster—stronger—deadlier.

I am dragon.

“Why are humans so inferior?” I ask myself aloud. Their weak bodies give them no advantages. And they are ugly, even their females. Their puny appearance and sickly skin tone only enhance their frailty. At least some of the women are decent companions if they don’t nag too much. I grumble loudly. Chances are I’ll be stuck with a whiner again. I’ll not put up with it and I’ll quickly teach her to fear me.

As amazing as I am in my human form, it holds no comparison to my dragon, which is superior to all others. My mind flashes to Acasia, Bastian’s mate. Yes, she is beautiful, but all her damn rules ruin it. It doesn’t matter that she is the only female dragon in existence. Today, I chose my new bride at the claiming ceremony. Her training will begin immediately after our return to my lair. The sooner she stops the waterworks and settles in, the better it will be for her.

I turn and walk through the large doors of my bedroom and stand on a rounded stone ledge looking over my kingdom. The wind whips across my naked body and blows hair into my eyes. It needs trimming. I will gift my bride with the privilege, if she cooperates. It will be her first reward, well… after I fuck her, of course. Fucking always comes first. Bastian had no clue how to control a human female and now he’s stuck with Acasia. I always show the bride who’s boss and immediately put them in their place. My way works best.

I spring from the ledge and dive off headfirst in my human form. I pull in the magic and my dragon bursts free—the small amount of pain completely overshadowed by my majestic form. I spread my wings and admire their fifty-foot span of beautiful blue against the morning sky. Fire erupts from deep in my chest and shoots more than one-hundred feet in front of me. My roar echoes through the canyon and reverberates off the cliffs.

In all my blue glory, I fly to claim my bride.

Roxanne

I sharpen my two-foot steel blade before holding it up against the morning sun. The light shines off the blade, which fractures it into multiple beams of brilliance. Soon it will bathe in blood—the magical blood of a dragon. I will clean off the gore using my white bride’s dress and dance in the red puddles after I kill him. No sister of mine will become a dragon’s bride today. My death for this deed will be satisfying—the ultimate sacrifice.

I’ve spent most of my life preparing. No one in the village knows my true intentions. My parents think I’m reconciled to my fate. I was born during the span of years that established me as a claiming bride. A week ago, a proclamation went up throughout town informing the brides that our time has come. Our duty to keep the peace between dragons and humans demands our presence at the claiming. Today.

Early on, I used my family’s need for fresh meat and my father’s disability as the reason for learning to hunt. Every minute of every day that I could safely get away from home, I sharpened my skills. If the men of my town won’t defend the women, I will.

Slipping off my dreary daily garments, I don the beautiful, white, sacrificial gown required to entice my enemy. I secure the sword into the hidden back sheath knowing I can remove it and use it before anyone stops me. The virgins of this town will truly have something to celebrate tonight. I adjust my dark hair so it completely covers the blade’s grip. I walk from the glade with my shoulders back and my head held high refusing to acknowledge my racing heart and shaking knees.

I have a dragon to kill.

My Review

I LOVE this series! I loved book one, where we meet Bastien and Acasia. We learned all about the curse Hera has put on them, and because of that curse, only 4 dragons are left. At all! It's sad. And this curse also has them claiming human brides, which cannot produce children, nor do the live long compared to their dragons. It's so sad. But this one, it had me cheering as much or more than Dragons Don't Cry! And can I just say I seriously hope Sarn gets what I think he will get in the next book, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Now, let's talk Roxanne and Laryn.

Roxanne is one of the girls to be sacrificed to the dragon for the bride claiming. But she won't be claimed. She tries to kill the dragon before he even chooses, and then when he stops her assault and flies away with her, she still doesn't give up. She has her sword and she will die but she will make sure the dragon dies with her. She's a strong woman. She thinks that sacrificing virgins to be eaten or worse to dragons is not acceptable. I freaking loved her spunk. She is full of attitude and still has a kind heart. And then, when she meets Acasia, and her family, she realizes the dragons aren't eating them. LOL It's kinda funny, this particular situation. Plus I like that Roxy is just bad ass. Much like Acasia is.

Laryn, well he's complicated, crude, sexy, and down right stubborn to a fault. He will not love his bride. He will use her, and shut himself away, because it hurts too much when they die so quickly. But then he decided he will properly train Roxy like the warrior she should be. She fights like it. But it bites him in the ass, because he falls for her no matter what. But things aren't so easy in the dragon realm. And he doesn't learn his lesson until the end, when something terrible happens to her. No I won't tell you. I loved that he got a little sweeter and a little nicer as Roxy was around, and I love his soft spot for Ash. And I think he's got his hands full with Roxy, so she'll keep him in line :)

I really do love the world the author created. It's amazing, withe different realms and how they work. I also absolutely love the characters. I am completely invested in them and I can't wait to see how things are going to play out, with all that has happened. And I can't wait to see shifters other than dragons come into play as well :) YES!! With that said, 5 Dragon PAWS from me, and I seriously want book three, like tomorrow :) LOL

EXCERPT
“I thought you were with the band,” he said as he lifted his coffee to his lips. It was the only way he could think to open the topic for discussion. Not that he cared, of course. She’d called him. It was a start. If there was a line he wouldn’t cross when it came to getting what he wanted—namely, her—he hadn’t yet seen it. Deep longing for something out his reach was a familiar weight. Her eyes never left the dessert menu. He knew she wasn’t really seeing it because her gaze remained fixed to one spot.
“With the band,” she repeated, sounding wry and making him wonder if he’d insulted her. “That would require knowing where they are,” she added so quietly Trey assumed it was meant more for her than him. With a shake of her head, Arbor met his stare. For a split second, Trey was rendered mute. Everything around them disappeared. It punched him in the chest. She possessed something other people did not.
“What about you?” Her question didn’t make as much sense as it might have if she wasn’t affecting his brain function.
“I’m not with the band,” he said automatically, pulling a ghost of a smile from her.
“You’re a cop,” she said, helping him along.
“Detective actually.” He wasn’t trying to be a dick. It was more that he’d worked hard to get where he was. She set her elbows on the table. A playful light entered her eyes.
“What do you detect?”
“Satanic and ritualistic homicides.” Huh. She didn’t even flinch.
“I wasn’t aware there was such a high number of those types of murders that it required a special title. Are you the only one or is there an entire division?”
Against his will, Trey’s lips twisted. “Unfortunately, there is a need for such a title. There’re three of us. I’m not sure it counts as an entire division. Louisiana is a hotbed of all things satanic and ritualistic. You’re likely to run across anything here.”
Her gaze moved over his face, but her expression remained blank. “You do look tired.” Before he had time to react, she added, “I’ll have to take your word on the matter. I only moved here two weeks ago.”
He opened his mouth to ask more. Instead, something entirely different popped out. “You’re beautiful.” She blinked. Her surprise evident. There was no way she was as shocked as he was. He hadn’t meant to say it. It was true, of course, but it had still slipped past his lips without his permission.
“Thank you.” Arbor’s response sounded more questioning than automatic. He snorted. She blushed. The sight fascinated him. Their knees brushed making Trey realize somehow, he’d moved his chair closer to hers.

BOOK SOUNDTRACK (Songs For Your Book If It Were Made Into A Movie)

CHARACTER BIOS (Just Your Main Character(s) )

Arbor Sinclair was born in Colorado where she lived until her early twenties. From there she moved to New Orleans to follow the two greatest loves of her life.
Killian Moore and Lyric Wynters are the front men for the popular grundge-rock band Excile. They spent several years tourning the country before meeting Arbor.
Trey Murphy lived with his grandparents for most of his life until he went off to college to earn his degree in forensic science. It’s always been his dream to make detective.

Author Interview
I just want to thank you again so much for taking the time to answer questions for my blog!
Thank you for the interview :-D

First, tell me a little about your book and why you wanted to write this particular story….
Arbor meets a sexy rock star, and her life spirals out of control. Unexplained events, including entire buildings going missing, makes her question her sanity, but she’s scared to tell anyone what’s happening. When she seeks out the help of a local detective, things get harder as her mind tells her one thing and her heart tells her another. For me, this story was a sanity saver. While Arbor was certain she was losing her mind, I poured every dark rollercoaster emotion I was experiencing into her story. When I began this story, I’d just received some life-altering news about my health. I didn’t want to talk to anyone, and I didn’t want to hear how I needed to think positive. What I really needed was a way to rage, and Sated was the answer. It’s darker than anything else I’ve written, but I hope people walk away from it feeling as if things couldn’t have been any different for Arbor.

Do you recall how your interest in writing originated or did you always just know?
My mom is an author, and she never censored what we were allowed to read. Of course, we didn’t have access to anything terrible, but this did start my love of reading romance earlier than most parents would’ve allowed. In my early twenties, I knew I wanted to try my hand at writing. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for me to realize I didn’t have the discipline. I tried again in my late twenties, and I haven’t looked back since.

What inspired you to write your first book and what was it?
It was a dream. It wouldn’t leave me alone. I had this same dream several times before I finally wrote it down. Afterward, it continued to grow until it was an entire world of black ops.

Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
There’s a little piece of me in everything I write, and several people I know find themselves there as well.

How do you chose when/which characters die in your books?
Oh gosh, I’ll never forget the first time I realized I had a character who would have to die. I cried for two weeks afterward, but I knew that was his story. The series wasn’t going to move forward without his death.
I was just the storyteller. Once I gave him life, he took over.

Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
I love it when I find a wonderful new-to-me author. Kylie Scott isn’t all that new, but she’s the first one to wow me in a while.

Who do you look up to as a writer?
Sherrilyn Kenyon is amazing. We signed books at the same event this past summer. If I hadn’t already loved her, I would have after that event. She’s such a wonderful author and person. Plus, she’s a marketing genius.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
There isn’t enough hours in the day for all the ideas I have. At any given time, I have 4 or 5 word documents open on my computer. I want to write all the time. Stories make me insane until they’re on paper. When I’m writing, I can’t do it fast enough. I want to pour the ideas out of my head onto paper, but then when they’re finished, I’m depressed because it’s over. Writing is an addiction.

What book are you reading now? Or what genre? My followers love author’s opinions!
I’m a bit behind everyone else. I’m in the middle of J.R. Wards’ Immortal.

Who designed the cover? And do you help with them?
I did. Cover design is my second creative passion. I’m lucky to be able to design quite a few of my covers, as well as a few of the authors at Punk & Sissy Publications.

If you could be one of your characters, who would you chose?
I love Arbor from Sated. I’d love to be her.

Are there any books you think some of us should read, just because?
By others:
Play by Kylie Scott
Mr. X by Clarissa Wilde
Dark Lover by J. R. Ward
By me :-D
Sated
A Dash of Desire
Sexy Witches

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Love you guys SO much. Even as someone who describes fictional lives for a living, I cannot describe how thankful I am, and how humbled I am by every person who is moved by anything I write. You own my heart. It brings tears to my eyes every time I stop and really think about being able to do something I love this much. I hope I gave you a place to escape, even if for only a couple of hours.

My Review

I must say this is definitely one really cool book. It's different, and interesting, and doesn't always follow the cliched trends. Vivian is a high school girl, who happens to have some special powers. She's always known about them, but she's always hid them because they killed her mother, in front of her. Her wonderful aunt took her in, loved her, and when things start going wrong, she can't help her power from coming out. And things spiral from there. I loved the HAWT boyfriend, and the relation ship between Viv and her aunt. And the wonderful Cooper, I think I want him :) But I'm getting ahead of myself!!

Vivian is supposed to be normal. She is pretty but she's nerdy, and she just wants to blend in. She doesn't want to be in the popular crowd, mainly because the in crowd is freaking horrible. The mean girl in here takes it to a whole new level. Viv has one friend, Abby, who stuck by her side for forever, until a new hot guy showed up and she betrays Vivian to hang with the in crowd just for the guy, who is secretly using her to plot evil against Vivian. Yeah it's complicated, but as that starts to happen, Vivian is loosing control of her powers, and someone is hunting her. She finally meets a wonderful guy, seriously, Easton is freaking awesome- but I want his best friend Cooper- and I love him. He is perfect and he is so perfect for Vivian. And then more things spiral when they finally find her Aunt and kidnap her to get to Vivian. And Viv is still trying to understand who she is, what her powers are, why she has them and her mother died for them.

The plot is well done and kept me on my toes. The side characters are phenomenal. Even the damn mean girl, who is so loved to be hated. Tricia, aka mean girl queen bee, wants Easton, but Easton is very good with getting Vivian. He's wonderful, a jock, yet kind, popular, yet considerate. Beautiful. Sweet. Protective without being alpha dominant. And Tricia will do anything to destroy Vivian to get Easton. And on top of all the horrible things Tricia does Abby and Vivian, Viv is trying to stay hidden from those who found and killed her  mother. The action is also well done because it's something believable between teenage girls, until the big ending which has left me devastated beyond repair. But I totally want so  much more from this series. I am going to stalk until I get the next books, which I MUST HAVE!!! The writing is so well done, but I'll let you read the author's bio to understand why :) I can't wait for more and I have completely invested myself in these characters! I am so cheering on Easton and Vivian, and I so hope it works! 5 PAWS!!

DESCRIPTION

Courage blooms in the meekest of hearts.

Chronicles of Eorthe, Book 2

After spending twenty years trapped in her civil body, Kele can finally shift into feral form. By tooth and claw, she’s determined to climb the Payami pack hierarchy.

Her parents plan to mate her with a hunter from a rival pack, but her heart’s already been stolen by the most unsuitable wolf possible—Peder, an omega male. She’d gladly give him her body except he’s disappeared from her life. Maybe into the thieving arms of another female.

Peder has spent every moment of their forced separation training to be a hunter. When he hears of her arranged marriage, he fears he’s waited too long to trespass back onto Payami lands to fight for her hand—but he damned well isn’t giving up.

On his journey to confront Kele, Peder is attacked and wakes in a cage, helpless as a band of vampires attack Kele’s mating party. Separated by social standing, thrown together by tragedy, they must work together to survive. And find out if their attraction is merely puppy love, or a bond that’s stronger than time.

Warning: This book contains an omega male who’s done submitting and a hunter female who isn’t used to needing anyone to come to her rescue. Violence ensues, not for the faint of heart.

EXERPT

The cramps in Peder’s shoulders seized him awake. Groaning, all he managed was to roll onto his back, which made the pain much worse. He couldn’t move his arms. Metal cuffs clasped his wrist tight behind his back, almost stopping the circulation to his hands.

By the dark moon, where the fuck was he now? He blinked the fog from his vision. If the vampires kept striking him with their darts, he’d become an expert at waking dazed and confused. There were other skills he’d rather perfect.

He tried to move his legs. His ankles seemed bound but not as snug as his arms. If the opportunity presented itself, he could shuffle at a snail’s pace, then the vampires would have a hard time catching him. He let his head fall back against what felt like grass.

The bloodsuckers had dumped them all on an open field. A fire roared close to some tents where Peder could see his captors preparing tools in the heat of red coals.
Kele!

He twisted around, ignoring the blinding pain in his arms until he squirmed into a seated position. Among the sleeping bodies, he spotted her white coat only two shifters away. Quiet as a mouse, he crept on his knees. Panting, he lay next to her until his cramped shoulders eased into a dull roar. He buried his nose into her soft fur and took a deep breath.

Under the sheen of fear still coating her body, he scented prickly evergreen mixed in with the bite of winter. Kele was his breath of fresh air. She cleared his head and sent his pulse racing. Goddess, how would he save her? He licked the underside of her muzzle.

The vampires had mentioned both of their pelts bringing a good price at the market. He lifted his head to watch as the bloodsuckers chatted by the fire, passing a bottle of wine. The biggest among them heated his tools in the bright red coal. Were they preparing to skin them? Peder swallowed around the lump in his throat.

The pack paraded toward the den’s living area. There were calls for wine and someone struck up a beat on the drums. Not a single person made eye contact or offered her a word of encouragement. They wouldn’t. It was rude to comfort the loser.

Loser. That stung more than she’d thought it could.

She faced the ring and discovered her parents had stayed behind—the alpha female and male of the Payami. She flinched. Their disappointment seared her to the soul. Was it really that shameful to hesitate before slaughtering a packmate? Tegrathe had been one of the few shifters who would play with her when they’d been pups. Was she supposed to ignore the fact that the female would leave behind a loving mate and their children?

The ache within her chest grew until it hurt to breathe. Kele pointed a bloody claw at her mother. “You set me up to fail. Why?” Her voice didn’t shake for once when faced with her alpha’s displeasure.

Her mother, Chaska, crossed the ring, her midnight hair a tangled storm around her head. She tossed Kele’s clothes at her feet. “Shift and get dressed. You should attend to Tegrathe’s injured leg, healer.” To add insult, Chaska turned her back on Kele, as if she wasn’t a threat, and she left.

“I don’t recall advising you to challenge Tegrathe.” Inali, her father, waited as she shifted to civil form and dressed. She was still learning not to blush when forced to be nude in front of others. Unlike other shifter children, she hadn’t learned her trigger emotion to shift to feral form until a few months ago. Others had grown up shifting and dressing in front of each other. She hadn’t.

“I don’t recall you advising me on anything,” she shouted. “Only mother seems interested in me, now that I can fight the challenges she can only dream about. How am I supposed to learn about becoming alpha if you won’t help teach me?”

“One doesn’t learn to become alpha, Kele. It’s not like healing. I have no books for you to read or lessons to give.”

Part of Kele’s feral side still had hold on her, and she snarled at him like an animal.
He approached her. Each step hinted at the commanding beast under his skin. Her father sent shock waves of alpha attitude without trying. It oozed from his pores like magic. “You’re lucky no one was around to witness that. I would have had to put you to the ground for being so aggressive.” He smoothed some of her pale hair from her face. “What did you learn today?”

She inhaled. He smelled of stone and dust and power. It soothed her frayed nerves. “That I’m a fool.”

“Besides that.”

Staring at the ring, she pictured Tegrathe on the ground, crawling toward her, gravely injured. She glanced down at the cuts across her shins—cuts that Tegrathe had given her even though the hunter hadn’t been able to stand. Tegrathe wouldn’t give in. She would have died first. “I didn’t want to kill her.”

“And?”

Blood rushed from her head and weakened her knees. “She would have killed me before accepting a loss.” She clutched her father’s hand. “Is that the difference? I should be ready to kill before ever losing? Is that what makes her better than me?”
He stroked her hair, the same pale shade of yellow as his. “Yes.”

Kele jerked from his touch. “She would have sacrificed her life and left behind a family just to be more dominant than me.”

His laugh was sharp. “You sound surprised. This challenge would have cost her the pack’s respect. If you truly want to lead shifters, Kele, you have to be willing to kill for them at any cost. The pack doesn’t value weakness.”

“And mercy is a weakness?” She wanted to pull out her hair.

My Review So this is the second book of this fantastic new series! Yes we see the main characters from the first book but it's mainly Kele and Peder we see. They were in the first book, but we are now getting to know them much better :) and it all starts with Kele's parents arranging a marriage to some she doesn't know from a different group of shifters. She knows she loves Peder but she thinks he forgot about her. Plus she wants to be alpha and that means she can't have an omega for a mate. But when a very tragic incident occurs during her mating, she looses everything she thought she was fighting for but gains Peder back but he's not the same as she remembers. Thank goodness since she's and Peder are captured by rogue vampires and sold into slavery. Kele is fighting for the alpha position more to gain her parent approval but it seems that's all she can think about, except for Peder. And Peder, well even if Kele hasn't sent him a message in ages, he's gunna show up at her mating ceremony and fight for her, most likely to his death. They've both grown a good bit from the first book and they've both changed a lot. They've both become fighters for what they want. But not brutal or blood thirsty like some. I love that Sorin is supporting Peder too! This one kept me in the edge of my seat. I can't lie, it's a little dark and gritty especially because of the slavery situation. But I like that others are rallying behind the scenes to find them and stop this madness. And I like the characters. This is a great, fast paced suspenseful adventure that has it's own unique feeling. The writing flows well and I've definitely become a fan of this series!! I want more! 4.5 PAWS!!
I hope you guys check this series out! And I wish you good luck on the giveaway :) Happy reading and later gators!
