As quietly as possible he slipped in and searched for an open seat. A hasty scan of the room showed only one vacant chair. Great, obviously he was the last person to arrive. Without causing too much disturbance, he walked to the front of the room and took his seat between Billie and Karen.
Piper’s gaze had swung to the double doors the instant they cracked open. She scrutinized the man slipping in. A relieved breath escaped the instant she got a good look at him, and verified it wasn’t Qball crashing the dinner. But for some reason, the stranger raised a flock of birds in her stomach. She never reacted to strangers so strongly.
She didn’t dare look too closely. The last thing she needed was this guy catching her gawking at him. Her aunt always said she started flirting the instant she left the womb. Flirting, my ass, she thought, shaking her head to herself. Her aunt never could tell the difference between profiling and flirting. She’d been profiling people her entire life. That was one of the reasons she’d gone into her chosen profession.

Experience taught her the best way to guard her heart was to thoroughly study the enemy and be prepared. And that was what she intended to do.
Too many of the opposite sex came armed with charm and playful banter. The problem was, most of the time the guy was faking it to get into the girl’s pants. But this guy looked like no one she’d ever seen. For some reason he didn’t fit her normal profile.
She glanced his way out of the corner of her eye as he took the empty chair at her table. His manicured five o’clock shadowed jaw was well defined and he had perfectly sculpted lips. But it was his eyes that captured her attention, a warm brown color with flecks of gold. To complete her assessment, she forced her gaze from his face.
Nice, he had a head of gorgeous dark brown hair. It wasn’t long by any means, just long enough to sink her fingers into. Where the hell did that come from?
Richie was relieved to see Helen, Karen and Billie were seated at his table. Thank Goddess, he had someone to talk to. He smiled brightly and was nodding his hellos when a delectable scent tickled his nose. He smelled the most mouthwatering crawfish boil - ever. He glanced at the woman across the round table, his breath hitched, and his heart constricted. Holding her gaze, his nostrils flared as he breathed her in.
MATE!

Her eyes widened and she quickly looked around. She must have heard him telepathically and was searching for someone near who may have spoken. Odds were she didn’t understand what she’d experienced and was suspicious.
Frowning, she turned her attention back to the table. Then she caught herself and carefully straightened her napkin in her lap while she fixed a pleasant smile on her face. Satisfied she managed to appear outwardly calm, she glanced up and froze.
For the first time, she took in his entire face, where before she’d been analyzing each feature separately. The man who joined the table right before she swore she heard a voice in her head was gorgeous. Not just hot, but please God, let me strip him naked and lick him, gorgeous.
He must be an actor or a model. She racked her brain, but she couldn’t remember her cousin, Bob, ever saying he knew someone famous.
 

My Review

Ok I absolutely love Richie!! I think he may be the sweetest of them all so far. He's so gentle and charming. And I think Piper is bad ass. She is a force. But we are on a road trip for a good bit of this one but let me say I think we have met Etienne's mate in this one!! I seriously hope I'm right :) 

Richie is smart and sweet and of course gorgeous. He's a master at being charismatic and loves people. He's also in trouble with Piper lol he's not one to let the lady do the heavy lifting but he starts to see that she needs to have her own independence. I loved his little secret friend watching over her. It the fact that there's another hawt wolf who needs help is going to make another sexy book to come. :) 

Piper is seriously a good heroine in her own right. She's not scared or shy or embarrassed and she knows what she wants. But she's struggling to see a future with Richie- in the beginning. Her crazy stalker is just creepy. And I loved that she was willing to put herself at risk for the guy- it's usually the other way around. 

And then when we finally make it home to the south, things heat up- but not the humidity lol the real action happens and we get to see some of our favorites return to help out. I of course love this whole series and the writing is fantastic as usual! I will continue to praise this series because it's the perfect paranormal romance and I love that it's set near my home :) so of course I give this one 5 WOLFY PAWS!!

My review 

I absolutely love this series! Lucas has been going all over the world learning to be a rancher. He's been learning how to support and give back to his family. However he's going from Louisiana to Texas. I missed my hawt men but Lucas makes up for it. And he got Krystal away from her psycho mom! Lucas is a hard worker and he loves what he's built. And it was an accident his mate walked in, or rather into him. Haha he wasn't expecting it, but Krystal and her new friend are plotting. Her new friend has a sister, kensie, and she's Lucas's mate. 

Kensie is a very important doctor. She has had a struggling in life so she does everything for her baby sister and her career. Lucas is a big distraction she doesn't need. She is focused. He ruins that lol. She's a smart independent stubborn woman. And she's met her match. Lucas is the perfect guy. He's sweet, determined, caring and considerate. Oh and he's down right sexy. Yeah this one is really hot! 

I liked this one for the fact that there's a building plot. Lucas is trying to get his ranch up and running, kensie is trying to figure her life and career out and both of them stumble along the way. There's a great romance in this. It's a great addition to the le beau brothers but it's also a start to a new companion series. No worries I will be stalking both series because they are just awesome! Though I miss my Louisiana boys, it's great for a road trip :)! I can't wait for more!! 5 PAWS!!

It became glaringly obvious very quickly; men found her intimidating. She was too smart, too successful, too rich, too fat, and way too outspoken. Kensie never saw a reason to mince words, so she said it like it was. Apparently, people, especially men, didn’t care for that. Too flippin' bad, she was too old to change now.
A quick look around told her the barn was behind the incredible house she parked in front of. From where she stood, all she could see was a huge hipped roof. That had to be where Jojo was. She estimated the shortest path was around the attached four-car garage. Straightening her sunglasses, she headed toward the corner with determined purpose. Cade crept into the house as quietly as possible. Anna had been up all night. Worrying over the ultrasound had compounded her insomnia, and she was finally getting some rest. If his luck held out, they could get the painting done before she woke up. Setting the paint cans on the newspaper he had spread over the carpeting, he looked at the closed window. He’d better crack all the windows, so the smell of paint didn’t wake her either.
The quiet sound of a tiptoeing army let him know the guys had arrived. Keeping them quiet was going to be a challenge.
“Hey, Cade,” Simon whispered.
“Hi, guy’s. Thanks for coming. We don’t have a lot of time, so let's try to hurry. Simon, could you start taping the trim?”
“Sure.” Simon dug the painter’s tape from the shopping bag.
“Thomas, could you cut in the edges?”
“Cool, my favorite part of painting.”
“You’ve done this before?” Cade asked.
“Sure, haven’t you?” Thomas asked over his shoulder as he grabbed his supplies. Suddenly, he straightened and spun around. “Oh, shit! Please tell me you know what you’re doing.”
“Well...the guy at the hardware store told me what to do and made sure I had all the brushes and stuff. We’ll be fine.”
“Shit,” Thomas hung his head in defeat. “We’re going to die.” 
“Oh, come on. Quit being dramatic and get painting.” Cade scowled.
“Okay, but when she goes atomic, rabid wolf on your ass, I’m laying all the blame at your feet.”
That thought had Cade hesitating for a moment before he shook his head. 
No, this is a good idea, he thought, as he convinced himself to follow through with his plan. 
Shaking it off, he turned to Stefan. “Take one of these pans and fill the end with paint and start rolling it on. I’ll work on this wall with another roller. The hardware guy said paint at angles, so we’ll do that.”
Stefan rolled a few random stripes on the wall before he pulled the roller away and stepped back to eye the paint. Frowning, he looked at Cade. “This looks really bright. Are you sure this is the right color? It looks – neon.”
“The sample was really pretty. Just keep painting and allow it to dry. It will look different than when it’s wet.”
Stefan eyed the wall again. “All right, if you’re sure.”
He was still looking at Cade’s wall as he walked backward toward his own. A squeak broke from his throat as he stepped on the slippery lid of the open paint can. Catching air, his feet flew from under him as he went down hard.

In his panic to stop his fall, he jerked the newspaper the open can was on. Like a teeter-totter, as Stefan went down, the can went up. The paint sailed in every direction. Nothing escaped the airborne, psychedelic pink destruction.

My Review

Ok, so I've read all the books so far, but this one is hilarious. Cade is normally so calm and easy, even if intense, but now, he's lost his mind. Seriously, I was in a fit of giggles with this one. And to see him drag everyone else with him for all his sweet, yet crazy ideas. I mean I kept thinking that is a bad idea, but you know what they say about good intentions. And put a bunch of men together while freaking out is just a recipe for disastrous hilarity. :) And poor Anna has to put up with all that. Thought he's worth it most of the time :) LOL I absolutely loved this. It was a short and sweet treat while we are waiting for the next book. Which I can't wait to see how the Texas people go for our Louisiana boys :) LOVE IT! 5 Wolfy PAWS!

My Review

This one is coming in really close as my favorite of the series so far. I happen to love Cade, but Julia is the coolest female wolf so far!! I loved her story, and I'm so pumped it was Thomas who snagged her. I kept going back and couldn't figure out why one brother would be gifted to be a wolf and the other brother would stay human, well now I know. And if you don't know what I mean, this is all explained in the previous books, so no I won't tell you. :) This is definitely a great wolfy book, as well as being so damn close to my home town, and to top it off, there is a ba-jillion sexy were wolf dudes running around! It's fantastic :) And this one kept me on my toes because I really thought it was going to come down to some serious character deaths! Well Played!! 

Now, Julia, she is kick ass. She's tough as nails, but she can cry like a baby when she needs to. I love her spirit, and I'm so freaking pumped that she got out of her mother's whims and even more pumped at the end that her sister is getting out too. But anywho, Julia runs a bar down the swamp. Yep, you gotta take a boat or run through the forest as a wolf  to get there. SO COOL! But when she meets Thomas at Stefan's wedding, she knows he's the one for her. And of course that wedding was awesome :) She's willing to give in to almost anything Thomas asks, she can't help it, but he sometimes asks a little too much. Lawd that boy had me wanting to slap him a few times. :) No worries, he came around. Thomas is a great addition to the Le Beau family. His mom mated Cade, the oldest son. So, it's becoming a totally awesome big ole happy family. Thomas is kind of hard. He's had a really rough child hood, we all met that crazy Tim in book one, and then he was in the marines, and now he's the head of security for Isaac LeBeau, our lovely alpha. He's taking his king's throne back, so trust me, he needs security now. This is so fun to watch, Julia is all laid back, Thomas is all rigid corners. :) It was fun to see them go at it. 

I love the characters so much, they play so much into the stories. And though each book is a different couple, we get to see all the previously mated couples in all their glory. And I love the matchmaking with Emma and Isaac. They are so damn old and yet they still giggle and plot like teenage high school girls. It's hilarious to me. And the plot twists. And the magnificent action. This one is almost the most action packed so far. We all saw the crazy swamper wolves, but I was not prepared for our previous enemy to break through those curses to do that. I was freaking out a bit. The romance is HAWT as always. And it makes for such good happy endings. And though there's no cliff hanger, there's more to come. The writing is excellent as always. This has become a must have series for me. I can't help it. I need it! :) And I can't wait to see how Texas is going to play into all of this :) Oh boy, Road Trip for book 5!! I can't wait. 5 EXCELLENT WOLFY PAWS!!

Forty–five minutes later, the auction was finally over. She could finally go home. Her feet were swollen and something was doing a tap dance on the inside of her skull. The Tylenol she had taken fifteen minutes ago hadn’t kicked in yet.

She considered her options as she rubbed the edge of her sole, should I chance taking these shoes off? Crap, I might not get them back on. Then what? Go bare foot in this gown?

That wouldn’t be embarrassing, not at all.

El stood and limped to the door leading to the ballroom. She groaned as she looked at the crowd she would have to walk through to get to her truck.

This was going to be two hundred thousand times worse than a walk of shame.

“What’s so funny?”

The deep timber of his drawl had no business sending her pulse racing. She waited for a panic attack to kick in, but her body remained calm.

“No one in his right mind would bid two hundred thousand dollars. That leaves one conclusion, you’re insane.”

“Oh, I’m insane all right. Insane for you.”

“Right. Go fishing with those lines somewhere else, this woman isn’t biting.”

“Oh, cher,” he laid his hand across his heart, “you wound me.”

“Shut up, Le Beau.” She tried to push past him but he didn’t budge. “Please move out of the way.”

 From the ballroom, the band began to play a romantic waltz. Her father’s favorite song–the one he always insisted she dance with him to. How odd.

He presented his hand to her. “I do believe they’re playing our song.”

She looked at his hand suspiciously. “What are you doing now?”

“I’m asking the single woman I won at the auction to dance. That is my right as the winner.” He grinned.

She stepped back and crossed her arms. “You’re kidding, right?”

“I’ve never been more serious, I assure you. Now, may I have this dance?” His hand remained extended as he waited for her response.

She eyed the hand like it might bite. “Fine. I suppose I have to.”

Stefan led her to the dance floor and took her into his arms. She was perfect. His wolf howled in triumph. Now if he could only get her to actually like him.

My Review

Please forgive me but I need just another day or so to finish my review! I know I'm late, but things have been crazy around here. However I can tell you that I am loving it, and it will be a 5 PAW review, unless my lovely author kills one of my book boyfriends or something at the end. LOL
