Madison Fox survived her first week as California’s newest illuminant enforcer, defending her region against imps, vervet, hounds, and one lascivious demon. If her grumpy boss, Mr. Pitt, was impressed, he hasn’t told Madison. In fact, there’s a lot her boss has been closemouthed about, including the dark secret haunting his past.
But Madison’s problems are just igniting. Neighboring regions report an uncharacteristic flare-up of evil, fire-breathing salamanders blaze unchecked across the city, and Black Friday looms. Trapped doing cleanup amid mobs of holiday shoppers, Madison watches from the sidelines as dubious allies insinuate themselves in her region.
As suspicions kindle and the mysterious evil gains strength, Madison must determine who she can trust—and whose rules to follow—before her region and career go up in flames.
Sizzling with adventure and sparking with magic, A Fistful of Fire is fused with Madison Fox’s trademark blend of humor and ass-kicking action.

My Review
I loved book one- A Fistful of Evil. Madison and her crew enveloped me into their world. I was so lucky the wonderful author gave me an ARC of book two because this one is just as good, if not even better, than the first. The author has created to most amazing world of imagination here and I am absolutely sold on this series. It's become a must have after this one!! And I just love the characters, I mean Brad Pitt- HA!!! Who wouldn't love a boss with a name like that :)
Speaking of bosses- Madison gets the call into his office because all hell has come to town. All the surrounding areas have gone bonkers and Brad is sending Madison in to help another enforcer fix the problem. The problem being demons- at a mall- full of people! Oh and she must absolutely follow and obey all rules. Except the goodness hawt piece Niko says Madison needs to be present at an enforcer meeting. Umm... This is a problem. You see, she has a date with the hot vet... These things are ruining her plans :) lol but still, Madison goes and learns how much the other enforcers and wardens have it out for Brad. And to add a little drama, the other wardens want Madison on their team- away from brad. Now with all this said, this is how you learn who Madison is. What she stands for, what she won't, how she will fight for what she needs or wants and how much she is loyal and courageous and simple honorable to top it off. She is definitely a favorite heroine of mine!
There are some reoccurring characters from book one, but some completely new characters added to the mix. I loved the action, seriously awesomely done. But I like that kinda thing. I also love that it's funny. I laughed out loud in inappropriate moments ;) and yes, most want the romance to be a bigger part of the main plot but I'm ok with where it is, characters need to grow and I like that we are learning more about them before we get all mushy- but I am just that kinda girl lol it's still emotional and will definitely keep you on your toes!
The writing is excellent. It's a well done plot with excellent creativity. One day- I will get into an authors mind because I'd love to know who thinks like this. It's so cool. I am a serious fan of this author and this series has become a major favorite of mine. I now will have to try extremely hard to have patients for boom three lol! I can't wait- gimme!!!! Lol with that said- if you missed out on book one- just go get it now. It's an excellent start to a series that will have you wanting more more more!!!! 5 MAGICALLY DELICIOUS PAWS!!!
A Fistful of Evil:
Madison Fox just learned that her ability to see souls is more than a sight: It’s a weapon for fighting evil. The only problem is she doesn’t have a clue what she’s doing.

Thanks for this detailed review! A friend of mine suggested to read anything of Rebecca Chastain. I have never read her books before. As I am a bibliophile and love exploring new authors. I work for an online academic website, where I provide services as a professional class taker. It is quite time consuming job but whenever I get time, I always prefer to read fiction as it is a relaxing therapy for me.
