My Review
I completely love Jax!! I've read ms Rawlings other series and loved it! But this one- man I really really liked this one. It all started with Jax making a deal with the devil to save her mom. Her whole life has been abuse and mistreatment but not anymore. And as an adult, Jax refuses to just give up and belong to the Devil, she wants her soul back and a way into heaven. Until the demons following her get more daring, and a hot guys she can't stay away from keeps appearing everywhere and her best friend who's a teenager isn't really a teen and he's not quite human. I loved Tommy and Dane and Tobias is pretty great as well.
So this new take on demons and fighting them is pretty cool. With some great actions and a seriously kick ass heroine, this new series is staring with a bang. Jax is a fantastic lead and I just love her!! And the twists and surprises kept me on my toes and glued to the pages.
I love ms Rawlings's writing style. A little action with a good helping of mystery and suspense and some great romance- just a splash, makes it so much more!! I'm absolutely thrilled I got to read this one and I seriously cannot wait for book two!! Way to start a new series off great!! 5 PAWZ!!
Rachel Rawlings was born and raised in the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Her family, originally from Rhode Island, spent summers in New England sparking her fascination with Salem, MA. She has been writing fictional stories and poems since middle school, but it wasn't until 2009 that she found the inspiration to create her heroine Maurin Kincaide and complete her first full length novel, The Morrigna.
When she isn't writing, Rachel can often be found with her nose buried in a good book. An avid reader of Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Horror and Steampunk herself, Rachel founded Hallowread- an interactive convention for both authors and fans of those genres.
