Synopsis:
Welcome to the Apocalypse. Your forecast includes acid rain, roving gangs and misplaced priorities, in this comedic take on the end of the world as we know it, from debut author Daphne Lamb. As a self-entitled, self-involved, and ill equipped millennial, Verdell probably wouldn’t have ranked very high on the list of those most likely to survive the end of the world, but here she is anyway. Add in travelling with her work addicted boss, her boyfriend who she has “meh” feelings for, and a handful of others who had no businesses surviving as long as they have, and things aren’t exactly going as planned. But despite threats of cannibalism, infected water supplies, and possibly even mutants, Verdell is willing to put in as little effort as she can get away with to survive.

My Review
This was a quirky take on what the apocalypse happening and those who just don't get it. LOL It's funny, and sometimes I was too busy rolling my eyes at the stupidity than I was worried. LOL So a virus happens that starts killing people and then on top of that, some Earthquakes cause some damage. And when this happens, there's a few who survive and need to figure out how to continue living. And no there's no crazy zombies or monsters, just crazy people. Seriously they are shooting people for lotion and wet wipes lol! And this is where our leading lady Verdell comes in.

Verdell is an office person at a data company. She has a boyfriend she doesn't like, a boss who is ridiculous, and a friend who makes me giggle. Bruce the boyfriend, well he makes me wanna slap him. Robert her boss is literally in his own world. They are locked in the office for days while things are happening. When they finally get out it gets crazy. They are running to stay alive. With all kind of nutty people around they don't have a choice if they want to live.
The writing is well done but the damn stupid people drive me crazy! I loved that it was humorous and fresh and unique! I think it was a great way to start off this author's debut!! 3.5 PAWS!!
