Review Copy Source: PublisherCheckmate…My Review WOW!! What an ending! I've been basically almost in tears reading this series, and Knight is finally getting himself together. All of his attack is finally coming to light, he's getting his mate back, and he's pulling himself together so he can help stop the threat that's been killing off his family. He's the white wolf, and everyone needs him to hang on, because they all expect him to be there for them. But now, he needs someone to be there for him. And yes this one is dark, and touchy, but this is finally the happy one, the conclusion to the magnificent series. We get healing, and love, and someway to move on in a good way. Knight has always been a little more submissive compared to his brothers. Not because he isn't an alpha, but because he needs to be the emotional anchor for everyone. And now, his need to rescue Shay. But Shay has a lot she is finding out while missing and she's going to do whatever it takes to make it right. Knight and Shay kind of complete each other. Shay steps up for Knight when he can't and Knight holds Shay together when she needs it. She's so courageous and though he story also makes me cry like you wouldn't believe, she's going to help heal Knight and he'll help her heal in the process. Oh and I love how everyone welcomes Shay into the fold! This was the perfectly wrapped up ending to the trilogy. No major questions left unanswered. No plot holes. And in the end, you aren't going to hate the bad guys as much as you want to, and you're going to love the good guys more than you thought you would. And don't worry, there's even a little ending that I didn't see coming ;) I seriously loved loved this one! WELL DONE!! 5 PAWS!!

Some people need something to fight for…
With the attacks on their homes escalating and human half-breeds seeking sanctuary among them, the loup garou are reaching their breaking point. Two, in particular. After failing to stop his little brother’s kidnapping years ago, Bishop McQueen angrily broods on his shame, though no one else blames him. Jillian Reynolds is still dealing with a tragic accident that took everything she ever wanted from life. And her attraction to Bishop is only making things more difficult. When word reaches them that Jillian's hometown is under attack, the Alpha takes Bishop, Jillian, and a group of enforcers to assist in the battle. And it is in this chaos that both Bishop and Jillian will have to face their pasts—and the true feelings they have for each other—if they are going to survive…
My Review
So, I did it again, I didn't read book one before I read book two, but it doesn't matter. This trilogy is magnificent. I knew this author could write brilliantly, by her other pen name, but she wrote werewolves, so now she has a full fledged fan who will always pick her up her books!! And now, I have to try to talk about something that I don't want to spoil, so bare with me :) This is a dark, gritty, down right heart wrenching painful story but I promise, the bad will make the good so much better :) I know that the first book of the series started the events, someone is literally slaughtering off the wolf packs. And yes, the death rates, they are high, and be prepared to cry, because I did. Like, damn this hits some hard points, but this story is magnificent. It's not just a paranormal romance, it's a damn good story that makes you want to hug the people you love! This is Jillian and Bishop's story. Jillian is an Alpha's daughter. She is supposed to marry to she and her would be husband will lead her pack. But with the threats, and her very tragic past, she's been helping out Bishop's pack. Bishop is the oldest and soon to be alpha of his pack. And they know they are each other's mates, but it can't be. They are from different packs and have responsibilities. They are both fantastic characters with amazing qualities and fantastic wit to each other. And when another MAJOR tragedy strikes, they have to figure out a way to help everyone else around them. I have never read books where so many major characters die. I seriously shed some tears here. And it's not just about Bishop and Jillian. Knight and Rook are Bishop's brothers and there's some past tragedy and hang ups going there. And yes, this book sets up the main show done that's coming in book three. I love this series. I can't wait for book three. And then I will have to break down and read book one, and then reread books two and three so I can take it all in :) LOL I say in warning, this is not a read of the lighter variety, but with depth, complexity, and brilliance, and it's so worth the read. I am jumping right into book three!! :) 5 AMAZING WOLFY PAWS!!

My Review to Come when I get my hands on a copy LOL |
Brynn Atwood is a low-level Magus whose unpredictable precognitive powers have made her an outcast among her people—and an embarrassment to her highly-regarded father. After a frightening vision in which her father is murdered by a loup garou man, Brynn decides to prove herself by finding the killer, and stopping them at any cost.
Her target is Rook McQueen, the son of a small-town loup garou Alpha. Despite being the youngest of three, Rook is first in line to inherit the role of Alpha, a duty he isn't sure he's capable of fulfilling. When Brynn finally meets Rook, she doesn't expect the attraction that draws her to him—and him to her.
No longer believing him a murderer, Brynn and Rook strike an alliance to find her father's real killer. But when his older brother is targeted by an unknown enemy, Rook will have to choose between his growing feelings for Brynn and his duty as the future Alpha of his community.
