My Review

I absolutely loved this one. I thought the background and myths surrounding the building of the characters were fantastic. The plot line that was followed kept me on the edge of my seat. And there's always some hawtness when the bad boy looks so good. Right :) Ok, now that I got all crazy and spit that out, I wanna say this is a really cool book. Ari is different. Her daddy is a God. Litereally. Oh and I loved her relationship between her dad and her grandma. Cracked me up. But, now, things are changing. People, it seems everyone, wants Ari. She used to be a nobody, because she was a hybrid. But now, everyone wants something. And she's fighting all sides, including inside herself.

So, Ari is pretty kick ass. Her BFF is the queen of Vampers. I loved her too by the way. Her dad is a war god, her granny is freaking Hera, and her mom, though she died, left her a princess, but not of a very nice race. So she hides out in Nola. Umm, hello home. I live down the road :) Yes, it's freaking hot here. And there's demons that Ari fights to keep from taking over. Oh wait, does this mean it's hot as hell here... Ummm, yes. In real life. LOL ok sorry. So, when a fight between demons and Ari breaks out and two men, differently, Alaris and Julius both appear and want something from her, things really start to change for Ari.  She's a strong woman, but she's a runner. She runs away from every damn thing. Seriously. And thank goodness for Illy, who I can't believe I'm saying thing, is the better part of the brains when it comes to their friendship. The vamper has the better heart. LOL I loved that part. Ari doesn't like emotional confrontation, and yet, will walk into an entire horde of demons cussing them by herself. It's crazy. Which made this book crazy good.

The twists and turns were mind blowing. Julius's secret. Who he really is. Ari's family secrets that she learns. Alaris and who he really is. And who Ari turns into. It's all so fascination. This was definitely a fantastic way to start a series and I'm so glad it's going to continue. I loved every minute of it. The action was phenomenal. The shoe shopping is hilarious. Especially with a vampire queen and a goddess. The unknown is always suspenseful but this one is well done. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and I look forward to the next. It was such a fun ride and it will be even better the next go round.  Well done. 5 PAWS!!

AUTHOR BIO:
Who am I, you ask? I am a woman who wears many hats. A mother of 3 wonderful boys is my first and for most priority, and from there it trickles down. I’m a wife, a cook, a house cleaner and a mommy to two dogs and a lazy loveable cat. Then there’s my ulternate life.. The writer  she is the kid who refuses to grow up. Stuck in a mind state of a teenager, who still has imaginary friends. The two halfs of me get along great!! As long as I let the writer out and listen to my imaginary friends tell me their story, then there’s no conflict. If I keep her caged up too long… Well… You know what they say, when you keep the beast caged up to long, it gets angry.

The life of a writer is who your born to be, not a job you just take on. It’s who I am.
