Sweet baby Jesus, I almost had a heart attack. I can never know just exactly what to expect with these book. Jade of course is always bad ass, at least to me. And now we have Warner. oh sigh, he's something special. But I have a feeling something else is coming with Kett. Kandy is still healing, but boy did I miss her. And now, I want to see where the dragon council is really going to go with the ending here. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I have so much of goodness to say about this one. And it all starts when the dragons send Jade after another artifact and the crazy child dragon who's been after her.
Jade is such a great and unique character. She has some great power due to her lineage, but sometimes even the most powerful can get into trouble. Jade does a lot of running in this one. With her mom and grandma trying to watch over things at home, from the rabid koala, as Jade calls the child dragon. Which I find hilarious. And Warner and Kett trying to help her find the crazy child, who is dead set on stealing every power Jade has. And we are site seeing here, in San Francisco, and the Nexus, and South America, and some crazy under mountain secret places. I really missed Kandy, and I'm still sore over Desmond, but I am seriously hoping from something crazy. Though I really am all Team Warner now. I want a sixtenth century dragon please :)
The writing is fantastic. I can never predict what will happen, and what crazy is to come. And I am so glad we get to keep Warner. I say we, because I want him as much as Jade does LOL and the plot line is getting better, especially with the dragons sending Jade on all these crazy adventures. And of course, the deserts. I mean, Jade has a complete talent for making cupcakes. YUM!!! With that said, 5 magical dragon PAWS!!! :) I cannot wait for the next one, and I really can't wait for the next Oracle book as well. If you haven't checked these books out, you definitely should!!
