Elementals by Michelle Madow w Giveaway!!

Elementals: The Prophecy of Shadows

by Michelle Madow

Release Date: January 26th 2016

Summary from Goodreads:

Filled with magic, thrilling adventure, and sweet romance, Elementals is the first in a new series that fans of Percy Jackson and The Secret Circle will love!

When Nicole Cassidy moves from sunny Georgia to gloomy New England, the last thing she expects is to learn that her homeroom is a cover for a secret coven of witches. Even more surprisingly … she’s apparently a witch herself. Despite doubts about her newfound abilities, Nicole is welcomed into this ancient circle of witches and is bedazzled by their powers—and, to her dismay, by Blake—the school’s notorious bad-boy.

Girls who get close to Blake wind up hurt. His girlfriend Danielle will do anything to keep them away, even if she must resort to using dark magic. But the chemistry between Blake and Nicole is undeniable, and despite wanting to protect Nicole from Danielle’s wrath, he finds it impossible to keep his distance.

When the Olympian Comet shoots through the sky for the first time in three thousand years, Nicole, Blake, Danielle, and two others in their homeroom are gifted with mysterious powers. But the comet has another effect—it opens the portal to the prison world that has contained the Titans for centuries. After an ancient monster escapes and attacks Nicole and Blake, it’s up to them and the others to follow the clues from a cryptic prophecy so that they can save their town … and possibly the world.

My Review

I'm totally thrilled to start this new series with a twist on Greek mythology and witch mixes. I think this was such a fun story and being the start of a series, it still covered a lot of ground. There's excellent plot that follows the mystery of a little prophecy that no one knew about until the middle of the book. It was a secret until now, but damn it was scary lol. Nicole is unprepared for everything that's about to be thrown in her face.

So Nicole moves with her family to New England and boy is it different. She's from the south so it's freaking cold. And on top of that, witches and monsters are real. Oh, and they share a class together to learn about their magic. Dude, why did I not get a home room like this in high school, or hell even college!? I want one!! But there's a lot of mystery and suspense and secrets going around. First, Nicole finds out the dad she doesn't know is something magical, then the guy she is falling for is taken by the scary spiteful mean girl, and to top it off, she's the link to the whole prophecy. But she didn't even know any of this existed until she walked into home room on her first day of class at a new school. Wow!!  Oh and a comet has somehow magnified her magic and linked her with 4 others- her new best friend, her crush, his evil girlfriend, and the all American sweet guy. I see this blowing up in someone's face in the future- FYI! They call themselves the elementals, because of their new powers.

The action was great with battles and monsters. I absolutely loved the suspense of the whole book. Finding the secrets and mysteries to unlocking the truth.  This new take on the Titans and the Greek gods. I loved everything about the magic and how it works- but that's a secret you'll have to read about. And then there's the characters. I actually loved them all, yes even the mean girl and the monsters. It's excellent to see the different dynamics when things change because of Nicole. And I think Blake is just swoon worthy. "My fire didn't accidentally go out." Seriously, I'm pretty sure I about lost my mind right there!!!

I will definitely be stalking the author to keep on track the release of book two. I'm dying to know if her new light on her parentage is going to change anything for Nicole. I want to know if it will work out with Blake in the future. I wanna know if the mean girl will get more evil or get nice-ish lol. I want her bff and the sweet guy to become that perfect couple. *sigh* I want a lot don't I? But that's why I will be reading book two- I want so much more! I thought this was a blast to read and if you Greek mythology or witches and magic, pick this one up!! 5 MAGICAL PAWS!!

Cover Reveal~ Warrior's Dute by Justine Winter- OMG YES!!!

Title: Warrior's Duty
Series: Nature's Destiny #4
Author: Justine Winter
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Release Date: February 17, 2016
Death. Destruction. Demons.
War was officially declared.

Blade’s rebirth into the world became something we truly weren’t prepared for. And I felt guilty. Blaming myself for not getting to Lara in time.

She was gone. Nature’s Destiny was grieving.

In the midst of our woes the battle was brewing. Incubi kept coming. Hell beasts were slaying. And the demon master was another step closer to winning.

With an army of supernatural beings in my arsenal I was optimistic that we were enough. We had the prophecy and my fortitudo on our side.

Whatever happened there was one thing I knew for certain.

The end had come.
The beast taunted me, stalked me like I was its prey. Its coal-like skin, straight from the mouth of hell, sizzled brightly with streaks of orange. The lava of its home. I never stood a chance in this war, I was one wolf against an army of demons; they kept me distracted long enough to ensure there was nothing I could do to jeopardise their hostile takeover. I soon learned that distraction was their greatest tactic, their only worthwhile weapon. But still, there were little acts of heroism I could partake in; chained and bound in a cage granted me little freedom. I was the hell beasts’ toy, to scratch, to bite, to chase when dull moments had them bored. Compared to my torment, I was sure death would be a gift as inviting as a freshly picked bouquet of flowers. I no longer wanted to endure such heinous, criminal, apocalyptic affairs. I wished for death, and the devil laughed in my face.

I’ve always lived a life based on my imagination, from hopeless dreams of romance to concocting alternate realities involving supernaturals. I’m completely fascinated with anything hero-related, and often speculate which superpower I’d possess. I haven’t settled on one yet.
I was born in England, and currently reside in Wales, UK. I love to write, and most days you’ll find me happily tapping away at the computer whilst in my pyjama-clad bubble. I also spend my time reading, and if that isn’t enough I’m often in the kitchen baking up a treat.

My Review

Wowza... Is that really a word? Well it is now LOL Ok, so I actually decided to reread the first two before this one. Man, I love this series more and more with each book added. I am seriously wanting book four now, but first, let's talk about this one. Things are changing around here for Sid and Bree. Sid now has her powers under control, Bree is gaining hope for her kingdom, Rowan is hawt, but.... now, things spiral LOL with the new brother in law in the mix, his sister and Bree's sister are kidnapped, and it only gets crazier after that. Silas is not dead. And we meet Princess Rianne, Prince Xavier and Prince Tristan. And we meet Zander. And I can't believe it, I freaking have learned to love Dahlia. And we meet the real reason Dagan's dad is alive and back... Yep, see, it's complicated. LOL I never know where this author is going to throw me next! A lot of jaw dropping, a lot of tears, a lot of crazy and me wanting the next book like yesterday. :)

Well, Blood Moon is taking on a whole new meaning to what I thought it would be. And oh I forgot to mention Sid's sister, kinda isn't her sister anymore, and poor Finn, I wanna hug him... Damn I'm getting ahead of myself again. But I am loving that we are still getting excellent page time for our favorites, and we are now meeting new favorites to add into the mix. I think we all swoon over Rowan and Reeve- I do- but now I am swooning over Xavier as well. And Zander- well let's face it- my dog's name is Xander and though it's spelled different that's just awesome so I love love him too!! I am looking forward now to seeing our Junacave kids meeting up with all the others from the neighboring lands! I can't wait to see how this is going to play out. I loved Rhianne and Zander together and growing. I loved Xavier and Dahlia keeping each other on their toes.

The writing is absolutely magnificent. Like I had any doubt after reading the first two- I think I will rewrite my reviews for those as well. I caught some things that I guess slipped my mind the first time I read them. You know, you are too excited to pay extreme attention to the little details and now I have. And with the big reveal that happened I finally realized what those little details really meant- yes, I mean Sarita, and yes I mean I am a little block headed to not figure it out sooner. I mean it was there, just not THERE LOL I absolutely must have book four and I really can't wait to see where this new information, action, and relationships will bring all of my favorite fictional friends in the future :) 5 EXCELLENT PAWS!!!

About the Author

Writing has always been a hobby of mine, beginning as a young child. It was a way to cope with losing my father at seven years of age. I started with poetry and was featured several times on the amazing poetry blog, Autumn Leaves, by Sondra Ball. My love for poetry soon led to writing songs in middle school and beyond, which I still do occasionally. Music has always been an important part of my existence, so writing songs came naturally to me. In high school, I started my own novel, however, life got in the way and I never finished it.

Fast forward many years later and I find myself married with three children, absorbed in my busy life with commitments to my family, work, school, church, and charities, among other things. One day I came across my old binder, with notes from my first novel, and it was with those notes that I conjured up the elusive Everealm.

I write to please readers such as myself, who have a love for fantasy and romance, but like a little danger and sex in their reading. I wrote the book with a mature audience in mind, who can appreciate a hearty imaginary world with magic and the unknown, but want more than fluffy love stories with wizards in them. They want the romance, magic, and danger, all wrapped into one.
